PSL Project
An international business compliance firm, contracted a WITT team of nine high-achievers to develop a secure online application. The team built webpages for the home page, registration, quote tool, and user account within a 3.5-month timeline.
KIDS FIRST
A co-parenting app designed to foster peaceful communication between parents, this passion project has created a supportive, collaborative environment where WITT members have experienced significant personal and professional growth. Built by newcomer women, the app features a dashboard, calendar, messaging, album, and profiles. They have conducted market research, user research, and developed a business plan as part of their preparations.
PACE 2000 – WITT Initiatives
PACE 2000 offers an intuitive Tele-Mentoring platform that connects seniors and youth through intergenerational mentoring pairs. To attract more users and partners ahead of a special event, they needed a visual refresh of their homepage and support in promoting their involvement. A five-member WITT team rose to the challenge.
Project Dashboard
A WITT team comprising 10 unemployed newcomer women was contracted to develop a risk dashboard prototype for Valencia Risk, a cybersecurity consulting firm. This was a short 3-month high-speed project, resulting in the majority of WITT members securing a job before the project’s conclusion!
Pilot Project
You can’t get a job without experience, but you can’t get experience without getting a job. A group of immigrant women decided to create their own Canadian work experience. In the Women IT Teleworker program, June 2021, This pilot project planted the seed that became today’s WITT.
